Question Alle LUN nicht angezeigt im vSphere Client (ESXi)

    Hallo,

    habe 2x Open-E Server mit:
    Modell: Data Storage Software V6
    Version: 6.0up80.8101.5605 32bit

Hello, Welcome you to the Open-E forum, we post here in english so most of the visitors can read it, I tried to translate your post with a web translator, and I'm sorry but i did not get you clear, is there only one volume from two? or a system can see both and the other no !

    ===translated copy using web translator====

    Hello,

    have 2x Open-E server with:
    Model: Data Storage Software V6
    Version: 32bit 6.0up80.8101.5605
    Licensed capacity: 4 TB

    before 2x ESXi come with V 4.1

The two Open-E iSCSI servers are configured with failover
    with 1x volume and 2x volume group a) 1900GB b) 800GB.
I was assigned to 1x iSCSI target for the failover of both volumes with LUN 1 and LUN second Thus far there are no problems and that failover is running without problems.

Your ESXi Software iSCSI software adapter I IP, iSCSI name recognition and dynamic (virtual IP address from the failover) configuration.

I leave now search for devices, I only get the one with 1.86 TB LUN displayed.
The same on the second ESXi host. Have the volumes

Is the problem with Open-E have the ESXi servers or as a problem?

I still have another system with almost the same features (2x Open-E + failover), there is only one volume (850GB) with the bound LUN 0 to 2x ESXi server and there are no problems (since about 1 year now).

    Hallo,

    on Open-e are 2 volumes on one iscsi target with lun 1 and 2. (1.9TB & 0.8TB)
Both esxi servers can only see one of the volumes, lun 1.

Try to close your ISCSI session, and reconnect it. Also check the settings/configurations in your initiator, even if you have to remove this settings/configuration and create them again.

The following post may help you :

    Hallo,

i have identified a network problem (nic interfaces assignment is wrong on one servers, no idea how it was incurred). I make a new configuration on open-e settings and give a feedback again.

    Nice weekend

    Network is fine.

    Situation:

Open-E (replication, failover working) with two volumes, vol00=100GB and vol01=50GB (all for testing)

    Szenario A
    failover-target1 - vol00 + iSCSI ID + LUN 0 (100GB)
    failover-target2 - vol01 + iSCSI ID + LUN 1 (50GB)

esxi only show a LUN 0 with 50GB
    (open-e has the vol01+LUN 1 the 50GB)

    Szenario B
    failover-target1 - vol00 + iSCSI ID + LUN 0 (100GB) & - vol01 + iSCSI ID + LUN 1 (50GB)

esxi only show a LUN 0 with 100GB

    I have tested the failover-target1 with vol00+LUN1 and vol01+LUN2, esxi shows here only a LUN1 (vol00,100GB)
