    The document shows me how to use a USB drive as a virtual tape to backup an Open-E NAS volume . I want to mount the USB drive as an iSCSI VTL so windows clients can connect to it as if it were a tape drive.

    I suggest sending the windows backups to a NAS volume, then using the DSS VTL to make backups.
    I USB drive can be used as a dynamic drive, but it will not be presented as a VTL to windows.
