Snapshot

Hi,
i try to understand the snapshot on open-e.
For example i want to make 1 snapshot every hour and keep the last 4 snapshots. For that i have to create 4 snapshot volume and make a schedule for each ???

Plus an other thing how can i access the snasphot, for the moment the only way i found was to make a backup (but when i make a backup he create a new snasphot and don't use the last one) and after the end of backup make a restore. That is just a non-sense.

I mean i come from zfs and with zfs i just take my snapshot, i go to the share and i have a hire folder call .snapshot and i can access all the data of the snapshot it's just so easy.

Snapshots on DSS don't work the way you are accustomed to with ZFS.

You can make a snapshot backup to virtual tape, and restore when you need to. You can even have one for each day.
