    In the DSS V6 b5458 we use the following version of mpt2sas driver:

    description: LSI MPT Fusion SAS 2.0 Device Driver version: 04.00.01.00

    If you have a valid premium support license, please report the problem through our user portal and we can prepare a small update with the newest mpt2sas driver for you.

    I believe the required driver for my controller would be the mptsas rather than the mpt2sas.

    controllers based on the LSI Logic / Symbios Logic SAS1064ET PCI-Express Fusion-MPT SAS
    The mptsas driver loaded is:
    SAS1064ET PCI-Express Fusion-MPT SAS (MPTSAS, 3.04.07)

    I don't even see a LSI SAS 3041E-R on the LSI product list on www.lsi.com
    I do see the 3041X-R, and a 3081E-R, and they both use the 1064 drivers.
