    Question Data(file)Replication to Synology Fails!

    Hello,

A customer of me has a DSSv6 and wants to export his shares on a weekly basis to a Synology Disk Station.
On the Synology Disk station you can enable the Rsync deamon.

When I test from a PC with rsync, it works!
    C:\cwRsync\bin>rsync.exe -v test opene_rsync@192.168.0.10::Backup-Backup

When I try using DSSv6 it fails! The task shows me this error:
Error 5: Error starting client-server protocol

I have configured the Data(file)Replication Task:
    Task name: test
    Source share: Backup
    Snapshot: sanp00003
    Destination IP: 192.168.0.10
    Destination share: Backup-Backup
    Destination Agent login: open-e_rsync
    Destinatino Agent password: *******

I have one customer who makes back-ups from his Synology to an Open-E system, but I can't get it working to backup from Open-E to a Synology.
    Working on it for hours...now.

    Kind regards,

Default Fixed: Password max 8 chars

After some hours,. I finally found the issue.

The maximum password length for 'Data(file) replication' in Open-E is only 8 characters.
I was pasting the password which had more that 8 characters.
