Default Replacing 1G replication link with 10G

If I have an existing 1G replication link with a DSS with auto failover, what steps would I have to do to replace the 1G card with the 10G card.

There is a 5tb volume that has already been replicating using the 1G, would like to avoid have to redo the replication from scratch if it can be avoided.

    Would I:
    stop failover
shutdown both servers to add the 10G cards
Bring up both servers and set up replication link ips using the 10g cards
start replication tasks and wait for replication to complete
    start autofailover

Biggest question I have is can I shut down the 1g replication and setup the 10g without having to replicate the primary to secondary from scratch.

    Thanks!

Yes, leave the 1GB in place, and add the 10GB. Simply change the replication IPs and restart the tasks.

Is 600 a good number to set for the replication speed for the 10G or is something else suggested?

You shouldn't need to recreate the tasks. And since they are already replicated, it will run at full speed anyway.
The throttle is only for initial replication.

If you do recreate them, u can set it at 600, thats fine.

    @Gr-R:
Just a side question to this topic.
If I got (e.g.) more replication tasks, is it a problem to set every replication task to 600MB? (for initial replication)
Or should I give every task 150MB (if i got e.g. 4 replication tasks)?

This of course depends on the size of the pipe between nodes.
The idea behind the throttle is so you don't overload the connection, and cause issues.
You want to spread the bandwidth equally(including overhead) among the tasks.
