    hi there

    > and then create the volume group(VG00) from the DSS V6 webGUI, then create logical units, also in the webGUI

    How can I do this please? Where is the menu? It doesn't seem to be in "CONFIGURATION -> volume manager -> Vol. group"

    All I get in there is no units found, with no option to create.

    once you can get past the 'no units found' issue, you will be able to create the Volume Group, and logical volumes.

    can try using an un-formatted array, and boot DSS V6 from a USB thumbdrive?
