Thread: Replication over WAN but use LAN first

Default Replication over WAN but use LAN first

I'm planning to create a replication data system at a block level over a WAN.

As you know WAN connection is not fast as local LAN ( depend on internet connection speed, etc..),
Also I'm looking to schedule to replicate data only in the late night hours ( a way from work rush hour)

So can I do the replication locally in my LAN first, then after finish from that, I remove the replicated job to a remote WAN office and configure the replication over the WAN?

I'm looking to do this, to speed up the replication and finish form it faster and be sure the target is having the replicated data even before i leave the WAN office.

Yes you can do replication in your local LAN first, then remove it to the WAN, just be sure you do the changes that are needed for WAN connection correct, and the replication should works fine then.
