Thread: Unable to connect to update server

    Default Unable to connect to update server

    I am currently running 6.0up80.xxxx.5626 2011-08-18 b5626.

    Whenever I attempt to check for an upgrade, I receive the following error message:

    Error
    Unable to connect to update server.

    Used to work just fine.. now it doesn't. Any ideas?

    Check to see if you can ping to the outside like a domain from the Console tools, try to run the repair filesystem tool from the Extended tools in console (this will cause a reboot and w/ this ver. it works w/ NAS volumes). Also try to clear logs and any other older versions to free up space.

    You can download the ISO file for the latest build from our website at:
    http://www.open-e.com/account/products-and-updates/

    And then you can apply the update ISO file to your system, and that should let you update your system, and try to check if you have a firewall that block the connection between your system and the update server.
