Thread: Better array performance measurements?

  1. #1

    Default Better array performance measurements?

    In v6 there is read and write accesses/s in the graph and the avg for each of those. Will there be more detailed performance measurements in v7 such as read and write delay time and queue depth?
    Thanks

    You can find that at page 161 in the Manual for V7, and you can download it from : http://www.open-e.com/service-and-su...loads/manuals/

    @Al-S,

    As far as I can see the graph/stats are the same as V6, and are equally as criptic. So, the answer for dagar is: No, there are no changes in the graphs/statistics.

    It would be helpful for the graph pages to have some notes on how the values should be interpreted. The legend is nice but provides no context of how the values should be used.

    Further, graphs/measurements based on "bytes" level scaling and not "KB" or "MB" have little value in modern storage systems where storage in measured in TB and disk/Network IO in MB!

    Hey SeanLeyn,

    Just wanted to let you know that we will make this change within the next couple of releases.
    All the best,
