Thread: Boot stops at 58%

    Default Boot stops at 58%

    Hello,

    I did a reinstall on a SSD, attached to an internal SATA port.
    Reboot and all seems to work fine.
    After I did the nessesary file system check, a reboot stucks at 58%.
    Reinstall doesn't solve this.

    When I boot without the splash screen I see that the last line saying

    * drbd start [OK]

    nothing after this.

    What now?

    ok, with die RAID offlined (areca controller) the system starts up.
    So the hardware seems to be ok.

    With this patch system is booting again, thanks.
    But it realy doesn't make me happy. Now I have five patches to keep the system running.
    What will happen when the next major update is applied?
    What will stop the system the next time?

    We are now thinking about keeping out "emergeny" ubuntu instead of open-e.

    Usually small updates that are tested by our QA department are included in next official releases. However some patches are very invidual and will not be implementet in official builds. Please see release notes of next release if patches you are currently using are included or it will be necessary to apply them manually after you boot next version.
