Thread: XFS error?

    Default XFS error?

In version 1.89, I saw in dmesg.2 after I lost contact with this NFS filesystem:

    > xfs_force_shutdown(lvm(58,2),0x8) called from line 1070 of file xfs_trans.c. Re
    > turn address = 0xc025674b
    > Filesystem "lvm(58,2)": Corruption of in-memory data detected. Shutting down fi
    > lesystem: lvm(58,2)
    > Please umount the filesystem, and rectify the problem(s)

Restarting the system cleared up the problem, but is there any other way to prevent this? I suspect, but am not sure, that this may have happened again, and so repeats on the timescale of ~50 days.

Try rebooting system after POST (Power on Self Test) then hit the ESC key to enter in basic menu and select the memtest option. This will take time so be patient or use another memory test program. This could be acting up when system uses memory in certain areas of the RAM and long extended periods. So running the memory test to check the RAM would be an area to check first. If you are able to reproduce this effect please send logs to support@open-e.com to see if we are able to find anything.
    All the best,
