I'd like to use a remote LDAP server to authenticate clients and manage share permissions, but the ldap server requires SSSL encrypted connections on port 636. This does not appear to be an option on the Open-e GUI, although the ldap.conf file (found in the log download) looks like an OpenLDAP conf file, and specifies the unecrypted standard port. Does anyone know an solution? Is it possible to get a command-line access to the flash, where this file could be manually edited?
Correct we do not support encrypted channel with LDAP authentication. You will have to disable the SSL encryption to have it work properly. There is no command-line access to the flash. Support is aware of this and will look into future developments to add this functionality - but no time tables are set.
