  1. #1

Thumbs up Open-E Certified Engineer Training returns!

One of the benefits of becoming Open-E’s partner is the opportunity of taking part in our Open-E Certified Engineer (OECE) Trainings - a training program dedicated to IT engineers.
This year, trainings will spread across Europe and the US. In October and November, we will conduct four sessions in Germany, one in Netherlands and United Kingdom, and two in the United States.
    Find all locations here.

The training program is an opportunity to gain or improve skills necessary to implement Open-E DSS V7, with the high quality customers expect from Open-E.
Certification as an OECE verifies that an engineer has demonstrated the ability to work smoothly with Open-E's Storage Software, especially Snapshots, Backups, Replications and Failovers.

    Trainings include the following subjects:
    • Installation of Open-E DSS V7
    • Active-Active and Active-Passive Failover
    • Data Replication
    • Snapshots and Backup
    • MPIO with VMware and Microsoft
    • Connections with FC, iSCSI and NAS
    • Bonding vs. MPIO
    • Understanding Logs
    • Best Practices

The course is a two day session and ends up with a certification exam. After successfully passing the exam, every Open-E Certified Engineer receives the OECE official Certificate and according material to promote the title.

Did you participate in previous OECE Trainings or are you about to take part in it? Share your experiences!
