Default Add Volume while having a running active/active cluster

    Hi all,

In the Webninar description below, there is a point "Add new volumes into a running cluster". If a want to do this on my open-e storage system, this option is grayed out. In the FAQs
of Open-E V7 it says it is not supported yet.

    What is true now?

    Anybody any idea?

    thanks in advance...

Are you on the latest release version of DSS V7?

We have DSS7 with the latest updates. It works fine :-)
Just do it step by step.
    1. New ISCSI Block Volume with volume replication on both san
    2. Configure Vol. Replication
    3. Add the volume to an ISCSI Target (SAME SCSI ID)
    4. Add the iscsi target to iscsi resources in the failover

    Thats works for me :-)

    Hi All

    I now update to the latest Open-e V7 Version (7.0up07.9102.7356 64bit).

Now it is possible to add/remove scsi targets, resize volumes... as mentioned in the webinar.

Thank you all for your comments.
    Working functions:

Move volumes between resource pools for load balancing tuning
Expand the volume size while the cluster is running
Power outage simulation of both cluster nodes and starting the cluster after a power restore
