Quick questions on the System benchmarks utility from the command line. I am curious of the read/write sizes and random/sequential percentage?
Can someone from open-e help out a little with that?
Thanks
Derek

I thought my question was self explanatory, but with the system benchmarks from the console, does it do 4K reads with 50% sequential/50% random?
Or is it a straight file copy like:
Code:$ dd if=tempfile of=/dev/null bs=1M count=1024 1024+0 records in 1024+0 records out w bytes (x GB) copied, y s, z GB/s
Sent you a different small update that will allow changes to the test.
I am not sure where the small update is at. I am just looking for info on how the read and write benchmarks are. Are they purely sequential? I am assuming so.
Thanks
Derek
