Hello, I'm running Open-E NAS R3 and noticed that all of my files over 8 characters are being renamed by the NAS server. Is there a setting that will allow long filenames?
We use POSIX file system so really we don’t have a setting to change the filenames or contraining to 8 characters. Any chance the clients are on a Windows system where there might be some settings. Are you able to create a share longer then 8 characters? Is this with all shares on the Logical Volume?
