    Default Adaptec 81605ZQ MaxCache Plus

    Hi there
Can you tell me the current support for MaxCache Plus

    http://www.adaptec.com/nr/pdfs/maxcacheplus_tb.pdf

Does open-e support the tiering involved in the new maxcache plus ?

DSS V7 does have the latest drivers to support the Adaptec 81605ZQ. You can download the DSS V7 TRIAL version and test for 60 days as the TRIAL comes with all the features.
    All the best,

    Hi there
In the MaxView Software are you seeing the options for tiering ?

I am using a Adaptec RAID 8885Q with maxCache Plus but there is no option to use the tiered storage within the system !
How do we use this option with open-e ?

Then why does your PR material say:
Support for Adaptec Series 8 (maxCache Plus caching technology)
If you don't support tiering then you don't support maxCache Plus. maxCache Plus is tiering, anything else is just maxCache.

MaxCache plus can be either caching or tiering solution. We do support the caching option.

This is not so the PLUS for for the tiering where as you only support MaxCache 3.0 which is standard read write !
Is there any ETA for tiering or are you even going to support it ?

Any chance of a reply regarding this as I did mention tiering in my opening post !

I would like to know if it is going to be supported and if so an ETA regarding it.
