Thread: Command Line Interface CLI - Can you set the ISCSI Target Parameters

Default Command Line Interface CLI - Can you set the ISCSI Target Parameters

In the Open-E DSS V7 CLI, i can create/remove ISCSI targets and set the Alias/Name. I can also view the target parameters with the iscsi_target_status command. Is there a way to set additional parameters in the CLI? Specifically I would like to update the Target IP Address for the target.

    Regards,

You can change the IP Address with this command.
set_nic - Configures Network Interface Cards.
get_nichealth - Fetches the status of the given Network Interface Card.
get_nicslist - Lists Network Interface Cards.

    To-M,

I believe the commands you sent are to configure the Open-E NIC settings for the target box. I am specifically looking to configure iscsi target IP access. From the web GUI this can be achieved by Configuration->ISCSI Target Manager->Targets. Select a Target, then you can configure which IPs have access to that ISCSI Target.

Most other commands are available in the CLI such as
    iscsi_target_create - to create a target
    iscsi_target_assign - to assign to a volume

The only command I do not see is a way to set the iscsi target IP access control.

So you mean the Allow and Deny section. We currently dont have this, you could send in a support ticket to ask for this and we can see how much time it would take to have this for you.
