Thread: X10SLM vs DSS v7 build 10529

  1. #1

    Question X10SLM vs DSS v7 build 10529

It is unable to install DSS v7 build 10529 to X10SLM board with 1 HDD connected to SATA in AHCI mode. The installer freezes after start menu (it doesnt show LOADING screen). Nevertheless the iso build 8826 works fine and the system was installed correct. I was trying to update DSS from update menu up to build 10529 and the system (after downloading update) stop booting.

Is the motherboard updated on the latest BIOS as it could be that the build 10529 has newer drivers and the 8826 has the older drivers. Latest firmware for the motherboard is below.
    BIOS File Name: X10SLM4_424.zip
    Size (KB): 4,057
    BIOS Revision: R 2.0

I have a release candidate that you can test with and see if this will work we hope to have the official release later this month but it is stable enough to be used. So check your inbox and test. The other idea is to possibly turn off all power features in the motherboard and make USB in legacy mode and try to see if you can boot with a USB flash stick and not from the SATA.
    All the best,
