    Are you using a LSI controller? Try the API command > get_raidstatus
    This returns information about RAID.

    Nope, HP SMart Array P420I.

    Yes that returns same as hpacucli ctrl all show config detail

    So my command is sound, the key works fine and I have no firewall issues.

    So even though the check_mk tool appears as an installed tool is there an issue with it.

    make sure you use latest release of DSS and latest release of check_mk Small Update (2014-09-09, upd_70139c-DSS-V7-up12.upd).
    If you still have problems please open a support ticket so one of our guys can help you over remote session.

    I was running 7.0up16.xxxx.16323 2015-05-29 b16323 but downgraded to try 7.0up12.xxxx.10529 2014-02-21 b10529.

    Can you mail me a link for the latest check_mk
