Thread: Open-e iSCSI initator

    Default Open-e iSCSI initator

I have been trying to setup the iSCSI initator in NAS-XSR Enterprise booting off the downloaded demo CD. No matter what name I give the initator (with and without chap) I amunable to see any targets. The targets are on an Intel SSR316MJ2, I am able to see the targets from another server using MS initator. In the iSCSI section of NAS-XSR I can connet to the portal, but the server reports no targets. Where am I going wrong, does the NAS server have a default iSCSI name as with other initators? I have read & read the manual but it has very little on iSCSI.
    Please help.

    Default Open-e iSCSI initator

The reason you are not able to connect to the targets on the Intel SSR316MJ2 is that our built in iSCSI initiator in NAS-XSR Enterprise is designed to connect to our iSCSI target server (using our Open-E iSCSI server products). Please download our iSCSI Enterprise Demo-CD to enable this feature on another system.
