This gives me access to the console which solves most of my problem but I occasionally need access to the system or Adaptec RAID BIOS.
When support tells me to change BIOS settings, or I want to check the status of the array, I still need a locally attached monitor/keyboard. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does it is a PITA.
CTRL-ALT-W? Could you be just a bit more specific? I don't see anything in the Hardware Configuration Menu that would give me access to the Adaptec RAID BIOS.
Neither the ucli nor the aacli option works with my adapter. The error message UCLI tells me 0 controllers found. While aacli can see my adapter it says that the installed version of AFAAPI.DLL is too old to work with the controller.
The Adaptec 2820SA I am using has been around since October of 2005 so it's not exactly a new product...
You received an update from our support 06/12/2007 with the attached file 0070-dss_b.upd did you update this file in the web GUI?? I remember in the begining you had a spam filter, could you check this to see if this is blocking us.
