Thread: iSCSI Target Adapter Compat?

  1. #1

    Default iSCSI Target Adapter Compat?

I've checked the Open-E compatibility page; however, that only shows iSCSI initiator compatibility.

How can I determine which iSCSI *Targets* are supported? We primarily use the Intel iSCSI adapter mentioned earlier; however, in that forum it suggests it would only be supported as a NIC, which is odd considering it offloads all storage functionality and isn't intended to be used as a NIC.

    Thank you in advance!

To connect to our iSCSI Targets we have listed the supported Software and Hardware initiators. As for TOE cards we do not support this in our software. You can use any approved NIC to access our Targets. As for information on how to upgrade the Intel Pro 1000 NIC's to remote boot from our Target then refer to link below and contact Intel on this firmware update.

"Enable every Intel pro Network-card (not onboard) to be used as a HBA for booting from iSCSI target."
