Default problems with speed with dss

    Hi

I cant solve this one. Problem is, when i make new iSCSI target and its first time connected on local computer, i got constant writing od disk smoewhere about 45MB/sec. Then i delete file, a try to copy again from same disk to same disk, a my speeds are about 18MB/sec averege.
Again i delete iSCSI target on dss, create new one, same thing again. First time speeds are "ok" next slow, slow, slower.... Why?

Configurations of my computers are not top of the class, so if someone thinks that 45MB are slow, can be faster, but this is my limitation at the moment.
Question is why is there such a degradation of speed, and tests are made within minutes. one minute ok, another not. And yes, its gigabit network.

What version of DSS? Latest is 1.23, try setting Write Back on the Target. For version 1.23 we have new Intel drivers on the Support website, read release notes for installation. Is this on a RAID Controller or Software RAID? Is the initiator Microsoft? Try directly connecting the host to the server to verify it is not related to switch.

Its software RAID, yes, its directly connected with cross cable, its last version of dss. Write back is set, without write back, data was writen on disk with speeds of 9MB/sec Initiator by Microsoft.

One thing that i can tell you is curve of writing, one is constant and its about 18MB/sec another one jumps from 0MB/sec to 40MB/sec its not constant at all. Except when i delete target and then reconnect, then data is "flying"

    Any idea

Did you go to the website to download the 1.23 update? Not the 1.23 ISO.
How much RAM do you have - well over a 1GB. You may need to send in logs to support@open-e.com

Thanks for the update, not sure why the Microsoft initiator is causing issues. Any thing in the Event ID's?
