    Default Two iniators, one target

    Hi,

from some threads below I've read that it's not possible or recommended two connect two initiators to one target. Currently I've got the demo in a vmware running fine and connected two linux-servers to one target. On this target are shared directories for my samba (PDC & BDC) server, mainly some apps, homedirs and profiles. Is there an other solution for shared storage wich will perform that good as iscsi, since the performance I'll get from iscsi, even in a vmware, is outstanding.

    Cheers,

    Matthias

Being that iSCSI Target works block based so this will tend to be faster (not file based), so for changes made by one person is not seen by another person working on the same target/volume. To control this you need a SAN File System program. Some products below perform this.
