Question HP / Dell Servers that work with Open-e

I am going to be testing some various models of HP and Dell servers over the next couple weeks and post my findings here. Before I get started I wanted to know if anyone has had success with HP or Dell servers if so what models?

    I plan on testing

    HP
    DL320 G2 + G3
    DL360 G3 + G4
    DL380 G3
    ML530 G2

    Dell
    1750
    2650
    2600
    4600
    2950

Any info or insight would be great!

    Hello.

Do you intend to use the internal USB dongle ?

I'm very interested in the results with Dell 2950 (or 2970).

It seems it would be cheaper (and better in performance) to use a 2950 with Open-E that a Ax150i...

I have reports that the External USB cable works with the 2950 - but no information on the 2970
    All the best,

I have two Dell 2650s w/ PERC 3Di raid controllers... While I see different places that this RAID card is supported, the disk doesn't show up in Open-E.

Has anyone else gotten this to work with a 2650?

    Thanks,

    Jim

    Question 2950 results?

    Hi there,

Did you ever get any results for the 2950? were you using a Dell PERC 5 or 6 controller?

    Best regards

    TFZ
If it can go wrong, it generally will!

    Default 1950

It has been working great for me with a Dell 1950 and Perc6e 512mb. Based on that, I suspect that the 2950 would be fine.
