Default Lost target drive - see drive as new unformatted drive

    Dear Support

I have a client that is running a Open-E Enterprise DOM with version 1.72.
The drive is a SCSI drive and the volume is is healthy.

The client could not connect to there iSCSI volume box and in closer inspection they found though the Web Console in Disk Management its saying Unallocated like as if its a new disk and needs to be formatting in order to be used, so it can see the SCSI drive but only has a new drive.

I am not sure why we have lost the volume (target) I also have the clients logs I can send you but will be too much to cut and past in this coverstation.

Is there anything we can do to check or remount the drive ?

Thanks in advance for your help

    Default

Yes - send the logs to support@open-e.com. Is this SCSI drive on a RAID controller? Please make sure they do not create a new volume group from the unallocated space as this could format the volume and wiping out the data. If he was adding new drives to the RAID controller then he can add this to the existing Volume Group, but not sure if this is the case. He could also try to go to the Console screen and enter the Extended tools CTRL + ALT + X then select "Restore LVM VG". This will reboot the system then he should see his Volume Group.
    All the best,

    Todd Maxwell
