The source hard disk was in another system.
I copied files to my server with DSS via network.
Suddenly the source hard disk in another system failed and copy process halted.
I checked the last file in my server and found the file was incomplete.
I tried to delete that file but failed.
So I executed Clt+Alt+W and No.9 (Repair filesystem on LV).
Then I could delete the broken files.
After that, I found that new directory [lost+found] was made on [share] page.
Can I have answers for following questions?
1. Is it right that I had done to fix the broken files?
2. Is Clt+Alt+W and No.9 same as check disk execution on Window system?
3. Can I know which files are affected during the process?
4. Can I access [lost+found] directory?
5. Can I delete [lost+found] directory?
Option 9 "fsck" is a repair tool that checks file system consistency and interactively repairs the file system and is similar chkdsk, read link for more details http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fsck and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chkdsk
If files being transferred while Source drive failed then you will have broken files during the transfer and very hard to determine during that time of which files completed. Again do you have a backup to restore from (Tape, Snapshot or another backup procedure) if so restore the files. If you go to the NAS Resources and select the share then click on the down arrow button associated with the path then select the LV000x to access or delete the lost+found dir.
