Thread: How to delete a NAS volume

Default How to delete a NAS volume

I am only able to delete a NAS volume using Extended Mode from the local console. This also involves a reboot. No remove option exists within the interface next to a NAS volume, even after it has been newly created. Is there a reason why? I'm using version 1.20.DB00000000.2697 and the product doesn't seem to think that it needs to update (no update found).

In future releases we will have this feature available so you will not have to use the Extended tools to remove this volume and not reboot system. For the iSCSI, FC and Snapshot you do not have to use this procedure.

Okay. Out of interest, do I need to update my current version *now*? If I do, why won't automatic update pick up the updates? Is it better for me to download them and apply directly?

    Thanks.

Do you have DNS, Gateway and did you register the DSS? I recommend reading the release notes for the 1.32 version then burn ISO image from download incase you need it for future - IMHO - but you don't have to.

The DSS is using DHCP so yes I have DNS, gateway configured. I filled in the registration form, entered the serial number and submitted the data. I've heard nothing back, but the form won't let me register again using the same serial number; hence you must have the info. How can I be sure my DSS is registered properly?

I have checked and you are registered and I tested with your SN of the module and I was able to access. Try again.

I tried the auto update again and it still told me there was no update for my version. I've therefore downloaded the ISO and applied the update via administrator upload, giving me version 1.37.
