Thread: SATA DOMs / PCI

    Default SATA DOMs / PCI

I saw on a thread here that SATA DOMS would be available soon - is there an ETA for these?

Are there any other alternatives for hardware that does not have internal USB header pins (such as DELL)?

    Thanks!

SATA should be ready in near end of month or fist of next. With Dell issue some use the External USB cable when no USB pins are available.

    Thanks Todd.

So will these attach to SATA ports, or be a PCI card that emulated SATA?

For a Dell without the USB pins, would you recommend waiting on this, or using the adapter cable?

    Thanks again!

It will be with PCI card. Though I tested with plugging in directly to SATA port using the old IDE power cables we had and it worked. They only problem is we had some customers informing that the HP did not - only with PCI card did it work. So to be safe I would use the PCI card until more inform us that this works with the DELL's.

Many use the External to get it running and they don't mind that the module is outside of the system because they are in locked cages or secured environments.
    All the best,
