Default Huge Problems with iSCSI R3

    Hello,

I have 3 running servers which access the san and have software vmserver installed. on the vm data files (vmdk) are saved on the san disks.

problem is, always when i make any change in iSCSIr3 Webgui all three servers crashes. I think they loose connection to SAN for a very short time and so VMWare crashes. (VM Ware say "datafiles not found" and then the discs disappear in device manager)

Its kinda impossible to use it in future - everytime when i change anything in iSCSI config (add target, rename target or whatever) i have to reboot the SAN after doing it and i have to reboot all servers which access this san.

    Any ideas, why this happen?

    thx, Marcel

When you change something at the target you are using this can be normal.

What happens when you rename a share on a Windows-Server? The client lost the connection.

The same can happen, when you edit a target.

I often edit targets they are not in use, this made no problems with other targets.

    Best regards
    Stefan
