We have two HP DL380's with each a MSL70 diskcabinet underneath it. Our intention is to put each DL380 and a diskcabinet in a datacenter. Can DSS loadbalance over two datacenters with the two DL380's?
We intend to use 10G ethernet between the datacenters.
I cannot find a good answer in the manual, does anyone have experience with such a setup?
Well, I don't know exactly what you're trying to do, but we've split our iSCSI workload for one of our costumers between two iSCSI targets, with open-e iSCSI server A having half of the storage as source, and the other half as destination. ISCSI Server B has the same setup. Each is replicating to the other. This is sort of a manual load-balancing situation, but it works for us. Apparently, with the new iSCSI failover, it should be possible to automatically switch to the other server automagically in case the other one fails.
