AFAAPI.DLL to old on Adaptec 4800SAS

Hello,

i newly installed the Open-E DSS.
But i have the following Problem:
If i want to open the Adaptec Controller with open aac0, i get the error that the afaapi.dll ist to old to work with the controller software.....
I updated to the latest open-e DSS Firmware, but the same error..
Now i have a defect HDD but i have no possibility to acces the controller without reboot.
Can someone help me?

Try using the Adaptec Storage Manager Version 4.30 to access the controller instead of the CLI - configure for Internal RAID then set the IP address and username and password. You should be able to access the Adaptec then.

thanks for reply. But i did not understand what do you mean.
Where schould I install the Adaptec Storage Manager Software? (On my PC or on the Open-E DSS)
And which credentials should i have to use?

You install the Adaptec Storage Manager Version 4.30 on your windows system then connect using with the Adaptec Storage Manager by using the Internal RAID function then
enter the host name or TCP/IP address of the DSS IP Address with using the default port number is 34571 and user name and password. The password is case sensitive. This is in the Adaptec Storage Manager manual.
