Thread: Problems with Replication

    Default Problems with Replication

    Hello,
I am using for test purposes 2 DSS Light Servers as iSCSI Targets.
I created 1 Volume on the first Server and replicate it to the other.

The iSCSI Initiator is a XEN Enterprise Server from Xen Source / Citrix.

Everything is working fine so far.

When I disconnect the first DSS lite Server from network an change the replication mode of the second server to Master the XEN Server can't reconnect to the Target on the second server.
I change the IP of the second server and the target is named equal to the target on the first server.

The log in the XEN server says, that there is no valid partition table on that volume. I checked the available blocks of the Target on the first server and get 41899595 sectors. The Target on the second server has 41943040 sectors.
I think this might the problem ....

Is it possible to create a volume/target with a given sector count ?

    Regards

    Blum

    Default

Currently not now in the GUI or by Console. This could be looked into with our R&D team. But before asking support@open-e.com ask "boman" what he thinks as he is not having issues with XEN and he may have some ideas.
