You can use Microsoft's built in programs or there are many very inexpensive copy programs, someone recently told me of Second Copy $29.00. You can create more than 1 Snapshot for your Target as well.

I use "robocopy," which is a tool that microsoft distributes (you can find it for free on their website). It's easy to automate, and it also will only copy files if they have been changed, which is nice. It's not as good as rsync for linux, but it works good enough if you have lots of bandwidth. Just be careful if you use the /PURGE or /MIR options with robocopy.

What is the process for creating more then one snapshot?

Just create another snapshot and assigned it to the logical volume then enable it in the target manager and create your snapshot schedule.

So I could create 7 snapshot volumes for a lun and create the schedule to have one for every day?

Yes, just make sure to set your time schedule, but you already know how to do that

That is great Todd, thanks alot. I am very happy with Open-E and the support from the Forum. I just a big test of 9 iSCSI vendors and not one could match the features and preformacne for the money we had so we will be investing in at least one more DSS license. Any news on the 5.0 release, I need to plan a network outage and I thought I would do the upgrade during that if its not to far out?
