    Default Transcend USB ??

    Hi,

has anyone experience with the 1 GB transcend usb flash and dss lite ?

My experience are that I am able to install the software on the usb module successful but when I try to boot from this modul only "Boot errror" is presented on the screen.

    Any ideas ?

It's probably not a problem with your USB module, it's probably a problem with your motherboard. Many older motherboards do not support booting from a USB device. Some older motherboards have an option in the BIOS settings to enable booting from a USB device. Almost all new motherboards will boot from a USB device with no problem.

Try booting the USB device on another motherboard.

The motherboard (Tyan S2707) is not the problem because booting dss lite from an usb pen works very well.

    Default trabsend usb

I am using the Transcend 1 GB ( blue) for a couple of installs on Gigabyte boards
    and haven't had any issues.
I did have issues with an older Intel board with 768Mb Ram for testing ( had adaptes SCSi card too)
I would reformat the usb and make sure you are getting the final stage of the usb install
when it prompts to "make usb bootable"
Are you at the min requirments
