    Default Mail when Hardware-Raid degrades

    Hi,

    we are still testing DSS-Lite.

    We've got a Adaptec ASR-2820SA with 5 500GB Drives - 4 Configured as Raid 5 + 1 Hot-Spare.
    So we've got ~ 1,5TB netto Capacity.

We tried to remove one of the Raid5 Drives.
    In RaidEvtA.log ist was logged:
February 6, 2008 2:47:34 PM CET ERR frzsan02 Disk failed: controller 1, channel 0, SCSI device ID 3
But neither a mail was generated nor a SNMP Trap was sent.

On a LSI Logic / Symbios Logic MegaRAID 520 SCSI 320-1 Controller located in the same System, Mails are sent, when the Raid degrades.

    Any ideas?

Thanks für the advice, but how can i set email-Notification?

    According to the CLI Documentation:
    http://download.adaptec.com/pdfs/use...uide_09_06.pdf
there is no Option to set Mail-Notification.

When i try to connect with Adaptec Storage Manager to the DSS-Lite, no connection can be established.

I have mean the Adaptec Storage Manager java tool. But if this does not work :/ Maybe this tool does not support your Raid model or something.

I've used the tool shipped with the Controller, so it is supported for sure.
