    Try restarting without Rescue mode before running the Repair function and if you are still not able to access your data, then send log file to support@open-e.com as we may have to ask you to enable the Remote Support function.

    If this is a NAS Logical Volume your data should be there - CONFIGURATION -> NAS resources -> Shares -> Function: Create new share then select "Specified path"

    If you do not see the LV or Volume from the "Repair Filesystem on LV" or try and see if you can use the "Select default Volume Group" function to see if it sees it.

    Checking the NAS resources is useless... I get the following error: "WARNING: No system volume found"

    Using the extended tools menu to "Select default volume group" gives this error: "No Volume Group Found!!"

    If I select "Repair File System on LV" I get this error: "There are no NAS LV"

    Please tell me my data is still there?!!

    What happens when you use the "Restore LVM VG (Volume Group) configuration" option?
    Did you only have 1 Volume Group "VG00" or 2 "VG01"?

    Nothing happens - that option does not exist since since it can't see the VG. I only had one VG00.

    Right now I'm booted off the demo CD using the Promise Web configuration tool trying to Synchronize the drives.

    Synchronization will check and correct any errors on the drive. It'll take overnight to finish so I'll post an update when its done.

    Let's get you on Remote Support as well. This will take time - just provide them the email address and cc the support team. You might have been up in the past but there could have been a break in the connections.

    Well, I think I still have a job since I saved the patient this morning. After running the Promise Synchronization tool overnight, I tried booting it this morning. No error! It booted up OK and I was able to use the extended tools and "select default volume group."

    I put the server back on the network and all the data is still there.

    The next phase in this is to figure out what actually happened. This system ran flawless for almost a year in a dedicated server environment protected by UPS and generator. We didn't have any power hits or anything unusual and the RAID controller logs didn't report anything.
