Thread: ISCSI connections from multiple Servers

Default ISCSI connections from multiple Servers

    Hey,

We use a DSS with one volume group and multiple ISCSI volumes.

When connecting from Windows 2003 servers with iScsi initiator 2.06 this works fine from one server. However if i try to connect from a second Windows server to a different ISCSI volume on the same DDS i get an Error: "Add Target Portal - Connection Failed"

Is it possible to connect from 2 servers to 1 DSS with 1 VolumeGroup and multiple ISCSI volumes ?

    Thanks

    Patrick

    Default

Yes you can connect many servers to the same Volume Group or you can create many iSCSI Logical Volumes and connect them to the same Target with many LUN's. As long as you are not connecting to the same LUN with both systems then we don’t support this. Error sounds like something on the Target end – check if you are using CHAP or try to recreate again.
    All the best,
