Will Areca volumes be recognised bij Open-e?

I Use an Areca1160 controller in a w2k3 server. I am thinking of migrating from w2k3 to Open-e but I don't want to lose the data on the volumes of the Areca1160.
Does Open-e (DSS 16TB) recognise the volumes and leave the data intact?

DSS won't see your actual data - it use LVM partitions and also own filesystem. You need to backup your data before migration.
