Have a question wich I can't find in the manual, but maybe I've missed it..
Is it possible to enlarge a target wich is already in use?
Ive a SAN with Open-E iSCSI-R3 and 4 Tbyte diskspace
I've configured some targets of 750 Gbyte each
Now I'm replicating a server on one of the targets and the replication is now 450Gbyte and growing.
How can I enlarge the target without loosing the replication wich I've made yet?
Is there a possibility to add new diskspace to the target, or do I have to bond targets or.....
The server wich uses the target is a WIN-2003 server and the replication is from another server wich only can have one share as destination.
Is it possible to enlarge a target which is already in use?
Yes - Go to the CONFIGURATION -> volume manager -> then click on the "Action:" pull down list and select "Expand LV00xx" and enter the amount. Remember to disable the "replication" function as you have to do this for both the Source and Destination as there is no other way or it could cause problems if we did allow it. But once you are done you must start the replication action again.
