Thread: Intel Quad Port 1000 VT NIC Support

Default Intel Quad Port 1000 VT NIC Support

    Open-E,

I installed a Intel quad port 1000 VT NIC into my SSR212MC2 storage server yesterday, and expected that the card would be supported.

Unfortunately only the two on board NIC ports seem to be detected by the Open-E software and made available for use. The quad port NIC is listed within the system information that can be found in the Open-E web interface, so the card does seem to be alive.

Please advise whether this card is supported, and if not when it will be supported? The build of the DSS software is 5.0.44 Build 3025.

    Regards,
    Kris

The current version of DSS has built-in support for the Intel Pro 1000 VT quad-port adapter. I do not know if DSS-Lite and/or the "demo CD" versions have the driver.
