Hello at all,

I always get the error message "Check your internet connection or change DNS or mirror server." in our dss lite (2TB version)

The dss has an own static IP-Adress with correct netmask and I have insert the correct DNS-Server-Adress and Gateway.

And therefor I can't use the sofdtware update function in maintenance.

Can someone help me?

I have the version-number: 5.0.DL37000000.2974

Do you have DSS or DSS-Lite
Difference is Open-e does not provide updates for DSS-Lite
If you have DSS you can download the latest version from the website and burn it to CD to update your software.

If you are using a proxy it will not work.
check to see if you can ping the server from beyond the firewall.
Check to see if your firewall is blocking dss lite.
You will need port 10444 open.
