Swapped disk, unit won't see new drive (repost from wrong forum).
Further to my earlier problem.
We have a 32TB unit with a failed drive - it showed as "unconfigured bad" if I recall correctly. This morning we took the drive out, saw it vanish from the LSI Megaraid storage manager tool, waited 60 secs as advised and then put a fresh drive in.
Nothing.
Nada.
Tried a check foreign configurations, nothing found.
Tried a rescan (F5) several times, nothing found.
Tried quitting raid storage manager and re-launch (it seems to do a fuller scan then) - nothing found.
After a while longer, we tried a new disk - nothing doing.
Finally tried original disk - still nothing!
Currently we have one of the new spares in place, but it isn't being seen. Some reports follow - note the "Other Error Count: 1" in the PDList log.
FYI The "missing" drive is located at enclosure 0 slot 87.
Any help appreciated!!!
Thanks,
Roger

first thing I recommend is to upgrade firmwares.. these units need to be updated all the time. I believe 1.10 -184 is not the latest. I believe there is 1.12 these days....
Also, try different slots.. maybe the backplane has an issue!!!! check the cables...
I don't see its an open-e issue, but its always good to check. But more importnat is to ask LSI guys.....
