SNMP or script control on DSS configurations

I am trying to automate a failover strategy. I have 4 NASes 1 master and 3 slaves . The master duplicates the data to the 3 slaves evry 10 minutes.

What happens if the master goes down... my whole operation stops!!! So I want to know how can I automatically configure a slave NAS to become a master an begin replicating to the remaining NAses?

I know this sounds ambitious but is this possible ? Are any of the configurations remotely scriptable?

As far as I know, there is no script you can add to do this. This is a new feature that open-e seems to release soon.

You can do it manually... let the source be destination and the destination be source then flip IP's and thats it...
