I updateed to the latest version, but I'm still facing the same problem..

No Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter found. All Groups and HBAs settings will be saved but will have no functionality until you plug in appropriate HBA card.

Emulex LP9002 is supported for initiator mode only.

Try to set the Kernel version to 2.6.25 in the Boot Options from Console Tools - CRTL + ALT + T Then select system architecture. There you will find the 32bit mode TESTING version. Save and reboot. Once rebooted make sure to set the HBA in Setup > Fibre Channel for initiator mode then reboot.

If that does not work send logs to support also make sure to update all firmware from motherboard to HBA - I have seen issues like this before.

    Hey Todd,

Thanks for the quick response, I really appreciate it. I will go down to the data center tonight and upgrade all the firmware and do the steps you've provided.

Please excuse my ignorance on this subject.. but bluntly, what is the difference between initiator and target mode? Can initiator mode be used a a 'direct-attach' to my media server via FC-AL?

    Thanks again

If you plan on connecting to a SAN storage system to access a LUN for example then set the hba in initiator mode. If you plan on providing Target and LUN set to target mode. You can direct attach but you may have to test with point to point settings.
    All the best,
