I have managed to make the system more stable by reading the install manual from the open-e server. But i am still having small problems.
my raid is healthy and i have used smart utility for to check software raid.
I have tried several network cards even an old 3com 3c905ctx card.
The problem arises when i attempt to send over more then 1 file at a time. when i attempt to send the first file an error message comes up saying "Media has been removed" but there is an image of the media on the nas drive.
Thankyou to everyone who has replied.
I dont think i explained my problem correctly in my previous point.
I copy one file over to the open-e server, while this is being copied over i try to copy a second file over to the open-e server at the same time, during this process the first file comes up with an error message "File cannot be copied media has been removed". The second file continues and completes copying to the open-e server. When looking on the open-e server i was still able to see both files on the server but the first file was unaccessible.
NIC config

What type of switch do you have.
Did this happen with all network cards?
How fast is the nic in the system now ?

I am using software RAID 1 this is configured through Open-e lite, i have only enabled SMB and setup NAS volumes. I am not using ISCSI Protocal.
The error message i am getting now is "The specified network name is no longer available."

Just to let you know i changed the duplex and it did not help.Originally Posted by aggiandrew
I have reconfigured everything and started a fresh (Yet again). I have now noticed that if you test the open-e server with the client PC on auto duplex I would get an error. Even bringing it down to half duplex which is the same speed from the switch, it would come up with the same error message. "Networkname is no longer available ".
This time i have configured the server from a fresh install and tested from the client PC set at half duplex, it now works fine. Is this a work around or is my NIC card not compatable?
Thanks to everyone who has helped me.
