Adaptec 5405/5805/2405 etc support.

Do you have a timeframe for when the 5 Series and 2 Series controllers will be properly supported?

We have an issue with an Adaptec 5405 controller that Adaptec will not support until we are running the latest drivers (1.1.5-2459.) that match the Bios Firmware 5.2.0 Build 16116.

What issues do you have ? I have a 5445SAS myselfe so just wondering.

G'day RF,
We have the Adaptec 5405 in an Intel Chassis with 12x1TB ES.2(AN05 Firmware) in a Raid6.
Under load, we get reports of a drive "failing" but then as soon as we look at the interface it has been returned to the array and the array is rebuilding.

So our obvious concern was that it was the firmware of the card, the backplane or the drives. However Adaptec will not assist under warranty until the drivers are at current levels, so we need to wait until DSS has these loaded.
