Volume replication from several DSS to one destination DSS
Hello,
We are interested in fully redundant system based on Windows 2008 Hyper-V cluster and storage cluster (iSCSI failover replication). No single point of failure.
Since Open-E still doesn't support this, yet, we are planning to use sync volume replication just for backup purposes (for now).
We have few Open-E DSS single boxes (with iSCSI volumes only).
Is it possible to make volume replication from several source DSS to a single DSS destination backup storage?
Each source volume would have one replication task for replicating source volume to appropriate destination volume on DSS backup storage.
The only problem is that there is only one Mirror_server_IP that can be defined on destination DSS backup storage.

As far as I know, still it is not possible to have 2x WIndows 2008 servers in cluster plus 2x iSCSI Open-E storages in iSCSI failover.
ONE Windows 2008 plus 2x iSCSI Open-E storages in iSCSI failover is possible.
Someone from Open-E said that for now, iSCSI failover (2x DSS storages) is working in mode "Active-Passive".
But Windows 2008 cluster needs iSCSI failover (2x DSS storages) to work in mode "Active-Active"
Known issue from Open-E:
When using DSS V6 in windows 2008 cluster environment a failover event on DSS V6 will break i/o operation performed on the DSS V6 iSCSI target e.g. copying of files
